Synchronize Lodgify with your listings on external booking channels, so that your availability is always up-to-date, and reservation details can be accessed in your Lodgify reservation system.
We differentiate between two types of connections: one is via API, which allows the synchronization and management of reservations and prices via your Lodgify reservation system. The second connection type is via iCal; it only updates your availability calendar.
We always recommend using the API connection. Only in the case that Lodgify is not used as the central reservation system, you might prefer to just synchronize your calendars via standard iCal.
💡 Note: Rentals must be assigned to the website for API connections to work.
How to Connect to an Online Travel Agency (OTA) via API
Follow these steps to connect your listings to an OTA using an API connection:
- Go to your left-hand menu and access the Channel Manager to see the different connections you can set up.
- Click on Connect to move forward to the next step.
- On the next screen, click on Sync to start the mapping process.
Once a rental is connected, you can see which booking channels it is connected to in the Rental Overview.
💡 Note: The VRBO icon shows once the connection has been set up on the Lodgify side. Do keep in mind that in order to complete the synchronization setup, VRBO must take steps on its, end. Learn more.
