When Lodgify Payments is used as your card payment gateway, payments for bookings from both Vrbo and your website will be processed through Lodgify Payments.
The funds are then sent to the bank account you added when setting up Lodgify Payments. This is known as a payout. The amount you receive will be net of Lodgify Payments fees and transaction fees.
This article provides detailed information and FAQ´s about how payouts work.
Payouts FAQ
Payments are processed daily and paid out in USD.
Please note that your first payout may take up to two weeks to reach your bank account due to compliance checks. After that, payouts will be processed daily.
If you prefer to receive your funds weekly or monthly instead of daily, please contact us and we’ll adjust your payout schedule accordingly.
How long does it take to receive a payout after a guest makes a payment?
Once a guest makes a payment, it can take up to 5 working days for the funds to reach your specified bank account due to bank processing times.
This is my first payout; why hasn’t it arrived in my bank yet if payouts are processed daily?
First payouts take longer to process and reach your bank account due to compliance checks by Stripe. It can take up to two weeks for the funds to arrive in the bank account you specified.
You can check your payouts and payout status in Settings and Payments, and then select Payouts. You can also access it here.
Where is my payout? (This is not my first payout).
If you haven’t received your payout as expected, Stripe may require additional documents or information from you. Until these are provided, your payouts could be paused.
You can provide the required information or documents in your account under Settings and Payments, or you can access it here. To submit the information or documents, select Update or Manage Account.
If your account has been restricted, it will be reactivated once your information or documents have been verified.
Can I receive payouts to different bank accounts with Lodgify Payments?
With Lodgify Payments, payouts are sent to the bank account you specified during your Lodgify Payments setup. It isn’t possible to send payouts to multiple bank accounts.
What is a rolling reserve, and has this been applied to my Lodgify Payments account?
After reviewing your information, Stripe may apply a rolling reserve. A rolling reserve is when a portion of your funds is held back temporarily to protect against chargebacks and refunds.
A percentage of your volume is held back by Stripe and kept in a reserve balance for a set period (often 30, 60, or 90 days).
After that period, the funds are released on a rolling basis.
If Stripe places a rolling reserve on your account, they will notify you by email. If you haven’t received an email about a rolling reserve, it has not been applied to your account.
Why was the amount I received in my bank account less than what the guest paid?
Lodgify Payments fees and transaction fees are deducted first, and the remaining amount is paid out to you. For more information on how Lodgify Payments fees work, please see this article.
🔎 Example of a payout after fees:
- Transaction Amount: 1,158.66 USD

- Total Fees: 45.49 USD – (Transaction fee + Lodgify Payments fees)
- Payout Amount: 1,113.17 USD
It has been 5 business days since the guest paid, and you do not require any documents or information. Why have I not received my payout?

Failed payout:

You can edit your bank details by selecting Manage Account in Payments and Settings. You can also access it here. -
Payout shows as paid in the Lodgify Payments payout section:
If your payout shows as paid but you still haven’t received it, you can find your Payout Trace ID in the Lodgify payouts section by selecting the relevant payout. You can also find it here. The Payout Trace ID, also known as the reference number, can be given to your bank so they can trace the payment.
How does my payout from Lodgify Payments appear on my bank statement?
Your payout will appear as Transfer Lodgify Payments. For some users, it may show the name you provided when setting up Lodgify Payments.
Why have I only been paid out for one payment when the guest paid in two payments?
If you originally used Stripe or another payment gateway when setting up Lodgify, and later switched to Lodgify Payments, some bookings might have been processed through the previous gateway. Please check the other payment method or gateway you were using to see if the payment has been paid out there.
How can I see which bookings I’ve been paid out for?
You can go to the Reports section in the left-side menu and open the Reservation Transactions report, which gives you a list of all the transactions received for reservations. You can then use that report to compare it with the payouts received via Lodgify Payments to get a better idea of which reservations each payout corresponds to.
You can also download another Payments Report from this page by selecting Payments. This allows you to export a report containing all your payments.
The report includes:
- Booking ID – listed under the Description column
- Booking amount – listed under the Amount column
- Fees – listed under the Fee column
Please note that the Fees column includes both Lodgify Payments fees and transaction fees.
Can a payout include more than one booking?
Yes, payments from different guests made on the same day or within a couple of days of each other may be grouped into a single payout.
