Check your Transaction Fee percentage
When you activate your payment gateway in Lodgify, you are shown the Transaction Fee that applies to your account.
To reference the percentage at a later point:
- Go to your left-hand menu and select Settings.
- In the left navigation panel, click Payments and select your payment gateway.
- A slider will open in which you will see the Transaction Fee percentage.
What transactions are subject to the Transaction Fee?
The Transaction Fee is applied to all payments processed by the payment gateway that you configured within Lodgify (e.g. Lodgify Payments, Stripe, Braintree, Authorize.net, Paypal, etc.).
Payments that were either processed through manual payment methods (such as bank transfer or cash) or marked as paid are not subject to Transaction Fees.
Calculation of the Transaction Fee
The Transaction Fee is calculated by taking the Transaction Fee percentage over the amount that was transacted by your selected payment gateway.
Example:
Your Transaction Fee for Stripe transactions is 1%. If you receive a booking from your Lodgify Website worth $1,000 of which $600 were paid via credit card, the transaction fee due is $6 (1% x $600).

Billing of Transaction Fees
Transaction fees are due immediately.
- If you use Lodgify Payments, the transaction fee is deducted from the payment and will appear as Processing Fees in the Lodgify Payments section. Please note that the processing fees include both the transaction fees and the Lodgify Payments fees combined. Please see this article for more information on how the fees work with Lodgify Payments.
- If you use Stripe, the Transaction Fee is automatically and instantly deducted from the payment directly in Stripe and will appear in your Stripe account as an "Application Fee".
- If you use another payment gateway, Lodgify will bill and charge the Transaction Fee on a monthly basis from your credit card that you added in your Lodgify account.
