HostReady Integration

HostReady is a regulatory compliance platform for short-term rentals in the United States. Through its integration with Lodgify, HostReady imports your rentals as properties with their addresses already filled in, tells you whether each property is allowed to operate at its address, and lists what it still needs, such as a license, an inspection, or a tax registration. HostReady then monitors more than 1,000 US markets daily for ordinance changes, council agendas, and enforcement actions, so a rule change reaches you before a fine does.

For any questions about this integration, contact support@hostready.ai or check out the HostReady Help Center.

💡 Note: HostReady tells you what the local rules say and links to the government page it read them on. It does not give legal advice.

Requirements

To use the integration between Lodgify and HostReady, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Your rentals are in the United States. HostReady covers all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
  • You have a Lodgify API key.

💡 Note: A free HostReady account monitors one property. To monitor more, choose one of the paid plans on hostready.ai. There is no minimum portfolio size.

Set up the connection between Lodgify and HostReady

You connect the two platforms while you create your HostReady account, so have your Lodgify API key ready before you start. Follow these steps.

  1. In Lodgify, go to your left-hand menu and select Settings, then select Public API and copy your API key. For more details, read Find your API key.

  2. Go to hostready.ai and create an account with Google or with your email address.
  3. Select the properties you want HostReady to monitor.
  4. For each property, add its license number and expiration date, and set your notification preferences.
  5. In HostReady, click on your profile and select Integrations.
  6. Select Lodgify from the list of integrations.
  7. Enter your Lodgify API key and click Connect Lodgify.

⚠️ Important: The connection is read-only. HostReady reads your rental list and never writes anything back to Lodgify, so it never touches your bookings, guests, messages, or payments. You can revoke the key in Lodgify at any time.

Monitor your properties in HostReady

Once the connection is live, each property gets its own informative section in HostReady: whether a short-term rental is allowed at that parcel, under which zoning, and what the property still needs. Additionally, HostReady builds a checklist for the property's jurisdiction covering items such as a license, an inspection, or a tax registration, with an evidence vault where you keep the proof.

HostReady then tracks each license number and expiration date, and emails you a reminder 60, 30, 14, 7, 3, and 1 day before a license expires. It also checks your markets daily for ordinance changes, council agendas, and enforcement actions. You can see the source of information at the end of the page, where the relevant government pages are linked.

Rentals you add in Lodgify arrive in HostReady on the next sync, so your compliance view stays current as your portfolio grows. HostReady automatically syncs your information every 15 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a HostReady account to look up an address?

No. Searching an address and reading a market's rules is free and needs no sign-up. An account is what lets you track a property and be told when its rules change.

Does HostReady cover my market?

HostReady tracks more than 1,000 US markets and adds more as people search for them. If you search an address in a market that has not been researched yet, that search puts the market in the queue, so it fills in. HostReady covers the United States only.

What happens to properties I added to HostReady by hand?

Properties added manually to HostReady are not impacted by properties synced from Lodgify. Synced properties are tracked separately from manual ones, so the two never overlap. Modifying one property doesn't affect the other.

Who can see my property data?

Only you and anyone you invite to your HostReady workspace. Uploaded evidence is private to your account and is reachable only through short-lived links that HostReady generates for you. A compliance certificate is the one item you can deliberately share, and only for the property you choose to share it for.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your properties, checklists, and uploaded evidence stay in your HostReady account, and monitoring stops. You can export a report per property at any time, and you can ask HostReady to delete everything by emailing support@hostready.ai.

A rule looks wrong. What do I do?

Every fact links to the government page it came from, so you can check it in one click. If something looks wrong, use the flag option on the property page in HostReady, or email the address to support@hostready.ai and HostReady will trace it back to the source.

The sync is not working. Who do I contact?

Contact HostReady at support@hostready.ai for any issues with the HostReady integration. For questions related to your Lodgify account, such as where to find the API key, please contact us for support.
