BookingTrust Integration

BookingTrust is a trust-accounting platform for property managers and vacation rental hosts. Through its integration with Lodgify, your reservations, payout data, and guest transactions flow into BookingTrust automatically, so it can calculate owner payouts, reconcile guest payments against your bank, and keep your trust accounting in line with local rules. There are no manual exports to prepare each month.

Requirements

To use the integration between Lodgify and BookingTrust, you must operate two separate bank accounts, in line with trust-account practice: one for owner funds, and one as your management account.

💡 Note: Your Lodgify account already has an API key, so there is nothing to set up before you start. You will find it in your left-hand menu under Settings, then Public API.

Set up the connection between Lodgify and BookingTrust

BookingTrust sets your account up with you, so the connection starts with a conversation rather than a sign-up form. Follow these steps.

1. Fill in the contact form at bookingtrust.com.au to book an introductory call.
2. Have your introductory call with BookingTrust. They create your account and take you through onboarding.
3. In Lodgify, go to your left-hand menu and select Settings, then select Public API and copy your API key. For more details, read Find your API key.
4. Send your API key to BookingTrust through support@bookingtrust.com.au. They use it to connect your account, and your reservations and payment data start flowing through.

⚠️ Important: Your Lodgify API key gives access to your account data, and one key covers your whole account. Share it only with BookingTrust. If you need your key changed, contact our support team.

💡 Note: BookingTrust manages your reconciliation for you during the first three months after onboarding.

Your rentals and reservations come from Lodgify. Everything on the accounting side lives in BookingTrust.

Manage your trust accounting in BookingTrust

Once the connection is live, BookingTrust works from your Lodgify data:

• Automated sync. It imports your reservations, payout data, and guest transactions from Lodgify, so there is nothing to export by hand.
• Owner statements. It calculates owner revenue, deducts your commission, and generates a detailed statement for each owner.
• Bank reconciliation. It matches your payouts and processing fees against your bank transactions.
• Trust compliance. It handles guest funds in line with local statutory accounting standards.
• Real-time reporting. You can follow rental performance, owner ledger balances, and management-fee summaries as they change.
