If you accommodate guests for a fee in Vienna, Austria, you must:
- Transmit the number of overnight stays on a monthly basis and the number of rooms and beds annually, in accordance with the nationwide Tourism Statistics Regulation 2002. The City of Vienna collects this data on behalf of the federal government.
- Regularly pay the local tax and submit an annual local tax declaration in accordance with the Vienna Tourism Promotion Act (§ 13).
- Report the rented accommodation or accommodation units to the magistrate within two weeks of the tax obligation arising, as stipulated in § 15 of the same act.
Connect to WIEN Stats VIETour
The first step is to create an account on the WIEN Stats VIETour portal. In order to download your Statistics Report, follow these steps:
- On Lodgify, if you haven’t done so already, you will first need to activate the guest registration feature.
- Once activated, you will need to complete this section in the Guest Registration Form for Authorities tab for each rental you manage:
- Select the Austria (Vienna) VIETour option and click on Save Changes.
- Click on Send Report and select Download Statistics Report (VIETour) to download the report.
- Select the properties, the year, and the month to generate the Statistics Report.
- A CSV file will be generated and sent to your email. You can also find the report in the Documents tab, inside the VIETour section, once it is created.
- Click on ZIP to download an individual file, or Download all to download all the reports.
