💡 Note: This article includes the scheduled messages feature, which is currently in beta. If you don’t see it, please follow this article using the classic instructions instead.
The messaging timeline displays all messages in a single chronological thread, labeled by channel, grouped by booking stage, and clearly showing the sender. This makes it easy to view, skip, and re-enable scheduled messages, giving you full control over communication with your guests.

Understand the inbox TimelineÂ
The inbox timeline shows the messages from each reservation grouped into three different booking stages:
- Before arrival
- During stay
- After derparture
You can easily identify the sender of each message by their name and initials. The delivery channel is also indicated with an icon, allowing you to distinguish between direct bookings and OTA bookings.
All scheduled messages for a reservation are visible in the message timeline.Â
Skip and re-enable a Scheduled Message
You can skip or re-enable a scheduled message directly from your inbox, as long as the scheduled send time is still in the future. Once the scheduled time has passed, or the message has been sent, the options to skip or re-enable will be disabled.
The option to skip and re-enable scheduled messages is available for all reservations, regardless of the booking source.
đź’ˇ Notes:Â
- If a message is already Sent, the option to skip it will be disabled.Â
- Skip/re-enable controls the scheduled message for that reservation only.Â
- Skipping a scheduled message does not delete it from the message timeline
Skip a scheduled message
To skip a scheduled message, click Skip for this booking within the message:
Skipping a scheduled message only affects the current reservation thread; it does not impact other bookings.
🔎 Example: A check-in reminder can be skipped before the guest’s arrival. It cannot be re-enabled during the stay or after departure, as the scheduled time has already passed.
đź’ˇ Notes:Â
- The option to skip a message is automatically disabled after the scheduled send time has passed.
- If you re-enable a skipped message after editing its template, the message will still use the content that was generated when the reservation was first created. Any changes made to the scheduled message templates will only apply to reservations created after the template updates.
Re-enable a skipped message
Once a message is skipped, the option Re-enable for this booking appears. You can click it to re-enable the message, but only if the scheduled send time has not passed.
đź’ˇ Note: When you re-enable a skipped message, it will be sent at its scheduled send time. You can choose to skip the message again if needed.
