Houfy Integration

Houfy.com is a host-driven marketplace that blends the freedom of book-direct with the convenience of a traditional OTA. Focused on transparency, independence, and fair pricing, Houfy eliminates middleman costs by charging no standardized service fees and staying out of transactions. With Houfy, you manage your own payouts, maximize earnings, and provide guests with better deals.

Set up the connection between Lodgify and Houfy

If you are not a Houfy client yet, you can create your account here.

Once your account is created, you can follow these steps to connect:

  1. Click on your profile in the top right corner and select Add listing.
  2. You will be prompted to add your listings via your Channel Manager. Find Lodgify in the list of available connections.
  3. Enter your Lodgify API Key, and your listings will be imported. Please note that bookable units are not supported.

The following rental details will be exported from Lodgify to Houfy:

Payments

To manage payments, you will need to set up a payment method through either Stripe or Square on Houfy. 

You can also configure a customized payment policy within Houfy. 

Refunds are managed directly between you and the guest. 

No transaction fees are applied to bookings.

Currencies are imported from Lodgify on a per-listing basis, so if you have properties with different currencies, these will be reflected accordingly. 

Cancellation policy

You can create your own cancellation policy on Houfy.

If a cleaning fee is set up in Lodgify, it will automatically be imported into Houfy under Additional Fees.

Add-ons are not imported from Lodgify. However, you can recreate them in Houfy by adding them under the Additional Fees section and marking them as optional.
Reviews

Reviews are not supported, but they can be added manually.

Rules

Rules are not imported from Lodgify and must be configured directly in Houfy.
Security Deposit

❗️

If your listing includes a refundable security deposit, Houfy will import it, but any refunds must be issued directly to the guest. Houfy also offers a solution for security deposits, which you can enable.

Bookings

The following booking details will be imported to Lodgify.

Information Notes
Bookings Reservations will be exported to Lodgify without a quote. 
The booking source will appear as “Public API”, and the guest’s name will be included.
Requests to book Guests can submit a booking request.
Bookings modifications All reservations should be managed through Houfy. Houfy will let you know you need to do this. The updated information will then be synchronized with Lodgify.
Booking status

All reservations will come through as bookings without a quote with the booking status “booked”. 
Since the booking is created without a quote, the automatic email sent to the guest will show the booking price as $0. 

💡 Important: You should not add a quote manually, or this will change the booking status to “tentative” and your guest will be sent an email requesting an additional payment.

Houfy will send the following reservation details:

Inbox You can send messages through Lodgify or Houfy, and guests will receive them.
Reports Bookings will not be included in reporting, as their total booking amount is recorded as $0.
