Update your account email and password

If you want to modify any of your account credentials such as username, email address or password you can do so following some steps.

💡 Note:  As a security measure, you can only change your credentials within the first 20 minutes after logging in.

To simply update your username, email address or change your password, just follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Account Menu in the bottom left corner and select Security.
  2. Now click the pencil icons to change your email, username, and/or password.Screenshot 2024-12-19 at 10.34.57.png
    💡 Note: Make sure that the email you are using to link the account is not already in use on another account as either the account holder or an account user.
  3. You will be asked to enter the code sent to your registered 2FA phone number. The last four digits of the number are displayed on the Security page, under the Two-Step Verification (2FA) section. Learn more about 2FA verification.
  4. You have 10 minutes to make any changes. After that, if you're still making changes to your credentials, you'll be asked to verify your identity again. 
If you want to.. Then..
Change username Click the pencil icon, type in your new username and click Save.
Change email address

Click the pencil icon, type in your new email address and click Save.

💡 Note: If you haven't selected different contact details for your rental, the change of the email address will not only change your login access but also the contact email address for your guests where you will receive all notifications. Find out how to edit the rental contact.

Change password

Click the pencil icon, fill in your old password and the new one (twice). Then click Update.

Change from using Gmail or social media login to normal login

If you used to log into your Lodgify account via Gmail or a social media account such as Facebook, and would like to change this, you can simply go to lodgify.com/login, and click Forgot Password?. You will receive an email to reset your password. You should now be able to log into your account using your Lodgify login credentials (email + newly created password).

Change credentials when using Apple ID

If you signed up to Lodgify using Apple ID (so you are using an alias name and email address) and would like to update your login credentials, you can do so following these steps:

  1. Log into your Lodgify account and go to your Account Menu in the bottom left corner. Then select Security.
  2. Now modify your username, and save the changes.
  3. Then go back into your Account Menu and select Sign out.
  4. Go back to lodgify.com/login, and click Forgot Password?
  5. You will receive an email to change your password and you should then be able to log into your account using your new password.
