Handle task inspections

Some tasks, like cleaning or maintenance, may require a quality check once completed. If inspection is enabled, the supervisor can review the work and either approve or reject it.

Instructions depend on your account version. To see the correct instructions, follow these steps:

Go to the left-hand menu and select Calendar
Choose the version you see in your account:

(with a Tasks section)

To view instructions, identify your account version above and click the corresponding button.

Former version

If a job needs to be inspected, it will automatically appear in the Inspection view in your Tasks section once the job has been marked as completed by the person who did the job. In this section, you can see all the jobs that are assigned to you to inspect:

To inspect a job, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the PM Modules section, and select Tasks from the sidebar menu.
  2. Choose Inspection and then click on the job you would like to inspect. 
    💡 Note: You can only inspect jobs that are completed. If you try to inspect a job that hasn't been completed, you will see a warning message. Screenshot
  3. If the task looks good, so the assignee completed the job to your satisfaction, just click Looks good, approve!. Otherwise, reject it. By doing so, the task will be marked as uncompleted and the assignee will receive a notification that the job has to be re-done.

New version

To inspect a task, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Calendar section and select Tasks.
  2. Tasks that require inspection will have the status Inspection Pending.
    Click on the task you want to inspect.
    💡 Notes: 
    • You can only inspect tasks that are marked as completed.
    • Only account-holders, admins, and rental-managers can inspect tasks. Cleaning staff, rental owners, and checking agents cannot.
  3. Then, you can select Reject or Approve to reject or approve the work done for the task.
  4. If approved, the task status will change to Completed.
    If rejected, the task status will change to Pending or Overdue.
