Migrate your tasks from the PM Modules to the Calendar

✨ Feature exclusive to the Ultimate Plan!

Tasks used to be managed from the PM Modules section, but this feature is now available in the Calendar section. The tasks currently in your PM Modules are still visible, so you can easily recreate any tasks you need in the new Tasks section within the Calendar.

The availability of this feature is currently limited to some accounts.

To recreate your upcoming tasks in the Calendar, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Calendar section and select Tasks.
  2. Click on the + icon to create a task.
  3. Choose a rental you want the task to be assigned to, or select “No rental” if you want to create a task that’s independent of a rental, for example an administrative task.
  4. Toggle on Auto-schedule if you want your task to be automatically generated after check-out or based on a recurring frequency. Find more about this type of tasks here.
  5. Select a date, a start time and an end time for your task.
💡 Note: Currently, tasks can only start and end on the same day.
  6. Then, select the Assignee. Tasks can be assigned either to a role (e.g. “any cleaning staff for this rental”) or to a specific person.
  7. Toggle on the inspection option if an inspection is required after the task is completed, and select a team member from the drop-down menu as Inspector.
The selected person will be responsible for approving or rejecting the task once the Assignee has completed it. If the task is rejected, it will be marked as incomplete and returned to the list of current tasks.
  8. Add a title and an optional description.
  9. You can then add a checklist. Checklists help users by providing a clear, step-by-step guide to complete a task, and they help inspectors ensure that tasks are completed in their entirety. You can also require the person completing the task to upload mandatory photos for checklist items. In this case, users must upload a photo for each checklist item before they can mark the task as complete.
  10. Then click Save.

💡 Note: Task templates are a legacy feature in the new version of Tasks, so you won’t need to recreate templates for your tasks.
