Photos represent your business card when guests land on your website. Our templates are built to showcase your rentals thanks to big background photos, picture galleries, and slideshows. Upload a hero image or slideshow on your homepage
You can impress your website visitors through a big hero image or a slideshow on the homepage.
- Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select Website builder.
- Select the Styles tab and go to Other options. Then click Upload image to upload an image.
To add a slideshow to your homepage, simply upload several images.
💡 Notes:- If you want to reorder images, you can easily drag and drop them to change their order of appearance.
- To remove an uploaded image, click on the bin icon to delete it.
- You can then modify the Headline that will appear above the images.
Upload photos in your rental gallery
To upload pictures to the rental gallery, you need to follow these steps:
- Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select Rentals.
- Select the rental that you want to edit and select Photos.
- Upload pictures of your rental by clicking either Add Photos or drag & drop them into the photo frame.
💡 Note: Add short tail keywords (it will help to enhance your SEO) for each picture. If the name of the image is too long, it might inhibit the upload.
- Make sure the languages used to upload the image align with the languages of the website.
You have the option to change the rental language above the photos.To view the currently active languages on your website, navigate to the Website Builder tab and access the Settings and Active Languages section.
- Now, drag & drop your photos to reorder them. To delete them, use the bin icon in the top right corner of the picture.
💡 Note: If you have multiple room types (legacy feature), you will see one album for the General Gallery and one for each Rental Type.
- Use the General Gallery to upload photos that are common to the entire rental.
- Use the Rental Type Galleries to upload photos belonging to each of the apartments or rooms within the rental.
Photo size guide
As you will need to upload images in various places while setting up your website, we will give you a quick overview of recommended picture dimensions for each use.
💡 Note: The below sizes are only indications in terms of ratios and dimensions, not the file size (kbs) of the picture. In terms of file size, ideally, all images should be as small as possible as lighter images will make your website go faster, which translates into a better user experience and better SEO. Nevertheless, it might not always be possible to reduce the size of the images below 100 kbs (e.g. for full-width banners). The best practice would be to adapt your images to the below-recommended dimensions of each container, and then reduce the size of the images (kbs) using websites like tinypng.com whenever possible.

For hero images of any template, we recommend using .jpg images in a 21:9 aspect ratio (e.g.: 2560 pixels x 1080 pixels, 3440 pixels x 1440 pixels). 💡 Note: If you upload images of a different aspect ratio, your image will be centered and cropped to best fit the available space. |
| Images for the rental gallery | For images uploaded in the rental gallery, in Rentals > Photos, we recommend using large images sized 1920 x 1280 pixels. They will be promoted in the rental's slideshow images but also on the rental page as a hero image. |

For images used in promotions, in Rentals > Promotions & Add-ons, we recommend 1040 x 270 pixels. |
| Images used in image sections | In image sections, in the Website builder > Pages > Image or Slideshow, we recommend using images with a width of 1040 pixels. 💡 Note: The standard size is 1024 x 693 pixels, but you can define a vertical or horizontal image and adapt the ratio in the website builder. |
| Logo |
For the logo, we recommend using an image in .png format of at least 60px height. The image should ideally have an aspect ratio of 2:1, but you can also use a ratio of 1:1, which is a square image. The recommended size is 180 x 375 (Height x width) pixels. |
| Favicon |
The favicon is a small icon that features your logo to identify your website in the browser. You can employ favicons in the following sizes: 16 x 16 pixels, 32 x 32 pixels, 48 x 48 pixels. |
