Forward a booking request via email to your reservation system

If you receive a booking request via email / your contact form and would like to accept it, you can forward the message to your reservation system to create a booking and keep a record of the original inquiry together with the reservation. To forward the message follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and click Settings.
  2. In the left navigation menu go to Mail Box.
  3. Copy the email address for your Lodgify reservation system and forward the received booking request to this address. Screenshot_02-16-2021_10.48.09.png
  4. Once the email is forwarded you will see it in your reservation system as a new open booking. It will usually only contain the message that your guest had sent you, and the booking source will show as from Email. All other information will be shown as N/A (not available). Now edit all the booking and guest details and create a quote as you would do when adding a quote to an existing booking.Screenshot_02-16-2021_10.59.22.png

💡 Note:  If you receive many booking requests this way, it might be worth it to save the email address of your Mailbox into the address book of your email account.
