If you receive a booking request via email / your contact form and would like to accept it, you can forward the message into your reservation system to create a booking and keep a record of the original inquiry together with the reservation. To forward the message follow these steps:
- Go to Menu and click General Settings.
- In the left navigation menu go to Mailbox.
- Copy the email address for your Lodgify reservation system and forward the received booking request to this address.
- Once the email is forwarded you will see it in your reservation system as a new open booking. It will usually only show the name and will contain the message that your guest had sent you. All other information will be shown as N/A (not available). Now edit all the booking and guest details and create a quote as you would do when adding a quote to an existing booking.
💡 Note: If you receive quite many booking requests this way, it might be worth it saving the email address of your Mailbox into the address book of your email account.
