Configure discounts (BETA)

Discounts allow you to create special offers with different restrictions, whether it’s a discount for a minimum number of nights, a last-minute or early-bird discount, or a discount hidden behind a promo code.

💡 Note: Discounts created in Lodgify will not be exported to Booking.com, or Expedia, so they will always need to be handled manually in those channels.

Create a discount

To create a discount, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your left-hand menu and select Rentals.
  2. Select the rental that you want to create the discount for and select Pricing.
  3. Click Discounts.
  4. Choose the type of discount you want to create.
    • By selecting Promo code, you can create a discount that only people who know the code will be able to use on your checkout page. You simply need to choose a promo code to share and set the discount amount.
    • By selecting Length of stay, you can set up a weekly discount, a monthly discount, and/or a discount for a custom minimum length of stay (for example a monthly discount). These discounts are calculated as percentages.
    • By selecting Last minute, you can set the maximum number of nights for which this discount will be applied, as well as the discount percentage.
    • By selecting Early booker, you can set the maximum number of months for which this discount will be applied, as well as the discount percentage.
  5. Enable Custom setup per channel if you want to set a different amount for your Last minute and Early booker discounts for a specific channel. If you don’t want to apply this discount to a specific channel, set the amount to 0 for that channel.
  6. Then save, and let your customers know about your discounts, for example by using a Discounts section on your homepage.

New listing promotions

If your listing is new on Airbnb and/or Vrbo, you can apply a promotion offered by the two platforms to boost your first reservations.

For Airbnb

If your listing is new on Airbnb, you can apply a 20% discount to the first three bookings. Learn more about Airbnb's new listing promotions.

💡 Notes:

  • The listing must have fewer than three bookings.
  • Dynamic pricing must be disabled for the promotion to apply.

For Vrbo

If your listing is new on Vrbo, you can apply a 20% discount to the first three bookings. This helps attract guests and improve your visibility in search results.
When a guest makes a booking on Vrbo, they will see the promotion applied during the checkout process, and you will be able to view the promotion details in the reservation breakdown.

💡 Note: To qualify for the promotion, your listing must:

  • Be active on Vrbo for no more than 90 days
  • Have fewer than three bookings.
  • Have received fewer than three reviews.

How a guest can apply a promo code

If the promotion has a promo code, your guests will be able to fill it in at check-out:Screenshot 2024-06-21 at 10.42.48.png

The reduced amount will be shown in the booking summary.Screenshot 2024-03-25 at 17.49.35.png

💡 Notes:

  • Promotion codes are not limited and can be used several times.
  • Promotion codes currently have a 15-character limit.
  • Promotion codes are not case-sensitive. 'CODE', 'Code', and 'code' will be considered the same.
  • If you are adding a reservation manually, you cannot apply the discount through a promotion code, but will need to apply a discount of the room rate or any other fee.
  • Discounts that require a code will not be exported to external platforms, as promo codes can only be applied on your Lodgify website.

Discounts FAQ

Can more than one discount be applied to a booking?
On Lodgify websites, only one discount can be applied per booking.

Which discount is applied if the booking meets multiple restrictions?
When you have multiple discounts available that meet the reservation requirements, the system will automatically apply the discount with the highest value.
If a guest provides a promotion code when booking, or attempts to enter a valid code, discounts without a code will not be applied. Instead, the system will use the value of the discount associated with the code provided, if the code is valid.
