Manage owners payout rules (BETA)

✨ Feature exclusive to the Ultimate Plan!

💡 Note: This article covers the new version of owner statements available from the Reports section, which is currently in beta. If you don’t see the option to manage them in the reports, please follow the classic instructions in this article instead.

Learn how to configure owner payout rules and split revenue from bookings between owners and managers.

The total amount received from a reservation represents 100% of the earnings from the booking. The revenue from any booking is divided into different components: Rental price, Cleaning fees, Other ees and Taxes.

If the revenue is split between the owner and the manager, you will need to indicate the percentage of earnings for each party for these revenue components.

Set up your payout rules

You can set up and edit your payout rules when creating or editing an owner.
You will be asked to fill in several fields to define the payout strategy:

  1. Room rate: If the entire room rate goes to the owner, simply click the owner and leave the toggle off. If you want to split the room rate, turn the percentage toggle on and set the payouts for the manager and the owner.
🔎 Example: Let's say you charge a 12% commission on the room rate to your rental owner for managing their vacation rentals. In Owner payout, you will enter 88% (100% minus your commission).
  2. Include channel commissions: Tick this box if you want the revenue to be calculated on the total amount before deducting channel commissions, soit the amount paid by the guest.
🔎 Example: If a booking is worth €100 and the channel commission is 10%, the revenue after the commission is €90. If you want the calculation to be based on the full €100, make sure to tick this box. If you leave it unticked, the calculation will only use the €90 amount.
  3. Include reservation add-ons: Tick this box if you want to include add-on charges in the split calculations.
🔎 Example: A booking is worth €100, and the guest purchases €20 of add-ons. If you want the calculation to be based on the total €120, make sure to tick this box. If you leave it unticked, the calculation will only use the €100 booking amount.
  4. Fees: If the entire fees go to the owner, simply select the owner and leave the toggle off. If you want to split the fees, turn the percentage toggle on and set the payouts for the manager and the owner. You can apply different settings for cleaning fees and for other fees.
🔎 Example: If you want to split the €50 cleaning fees (for example, 20% for the manager and 80% for the owner), turn the percentage toggle on and set the corresponding payouts. In this case, the calculation would use €10 for the manager and €40 for the owner.
  5. Pass-through taxes: Choose whether the taxes paid by the guests should be for the manager or for the owner.
