Import a rental from Airbnb into Lodgify

If you are new to Lodgify or if you have just created a new rental in Airbnb, you can import it directly into Lodgify without filling in all the information from scratch. It only takes four simple steps to connect your Lodgify accounts to Airbnb and import the crucial rental information to be able to create a new rental in Lodgify. 

๐Ÿ’ก Note: Airbnb only allows one property management app to be connected to your Airbnb account. So if your Airbnb account is already connected to another channel manager or another Lodgify account, you would need to remove any access of the other property management app to your Airbnb account in order to be able to connect to Lodgify. How to import a rental into Lodgify

If you want to import a rental from Airbnb into Lodgify you first need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Main Menu, in the top left corner, and select Rentals.
  2. Click Create rental and select Connect to Airbnb.
    ๐Ÿ’ก Note: 
    If your accounts are already connected, click Import from Airbnb and jump to step 5.
  3. A new pop-up window will open up where you need to log into your Airbnb account and allow the connection between Airbnb and Lodgify. 
    ๐Ÿ’ก Note: If you are having trouble connecting, check here for possible issues.
  4. Once the connection is successfully established you can close the pop-up window and return to Lodgify. 
    ๐Ÿ’ก Note: In case you have more than one Airbnb account, you can then click Add more, to connect another Airbnb account with Lodgify.
  5. Now you can click Select a rental to import and choose which one to import from the drop-down menu. In case you connected more than one Airbnb account, you will see all rentals from all connected accounts.
  6. Congratulations! Your rental should now be imported and you can click on the Rental card to review the imported information and complete any additional settings. For more details see which information will be imported.

Possible connection issues

If you encounter an issue when trying to connect your Lodgify account to Airbnb it could be due to the following reasons:

Issue Solution

You already have another property management app connected to your Airbnb account.

You need to Remove access of the property management app to your Airbnb account and then repeat the connection process.

๐Ÿ’ก Note: Before removing another external app please check with the provider which effects this could have. Also, be aware that while you are not connected to the other external app your calendars are not synchronized.


Once the properties are imported you can remove the connection to Lodgify and re-establish the connection with your previous property management app.

The reason for this is usually that you already have another property management app connected to your Airbnb account. 

Check here if you already have another channel manager or another Lodgify account connected to Airbnb. If this is the case, click Remove access and then repeat the connection process.2019-12-20_1728.png


You are going through the connection process and after you finished you see again the button Connect to Airbnb instead of being able to select a rental?

When logging into Airbnb you see a ReCaptcha (I'm not a robot verification) and then the Airbnb homepage appears but no connection is established between Lodgify and Airbnb? After verifying that you are not a robot you then need to go back into Lodgify and click again Connect to Airbnb. The connection should now be possible without interruption.

Which information will be imported

When importing a rental from Airbnb into Lodgify, only certain information will be imported. Additional settings such as room types or minimum stay will need to be set up directly in Lodgify. Find out which information will be imported.
