Activate payments

To get paid by your guests, you need to activate a payment method on Booking.com. Payments by Booking.com is a service that allows Booking.com to collect guest payments on your behalf. It transfers the funds to you (minus the commission) on a regular schedule, supports multiple payment methods, includes fraud protection, and provides detailed payout reports for your records.

You can choose to collect payments in two different ways:

  • Bank transfer: Booking.com collects the payment and transfers the funds directly to your bank account.
  • Virtual credit card: Booking.com collects the payment and sends the VCC details to Lodgify. Then, the payment gateway you’ve set up in Lodgify will charge the VCC to collect the funds.
This option only works if you have an active payment gateway connected to Lodgify.

To activate Payments by Booking.com, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Booking.com Extranet account.
  2. If you manage multiple properties, select the one you want to configure.
  3. Go to the Finance tab and select Payments by Booking.com.
💡 Note: Eligibility for Payments by Booking.com depends on your property’s location. If this section does not appear, your property may not be eligible.
  4. Click Sign up now and choose your preferred payment method: Bank Transfer or Virtual Credit Card.
    • If you choose bank transfer, you will be asked to review payment frequency, payment scenarios, and how to identify which bookings are collected by Booking.com. You will also need to enter your bank account details, this is the account where payments will be deposited.
    • If you choose Virtual credit card, you will be asked to review payment scenarios and how to check the status of payments.

If you need help, you can visit the Finance Help page by going to the Finance tab in the Extranet and selecting Finance Help.

Fill out the Know Your Partner (KYP) form

  2. Look for a banner at the top of your account dashboard, this will direct you to the KYP form.
