There are several ways to create tasks in Lodgify, depending on their type. In this article, we’ll give you a quick overview of our recommended approach for each task type.

💡 Note: Task assignees cannot create their own tasks.

Type of task Example Recommended job setup
A task that will be necessary for each booking of one or more rentals. Cleaning the rental will be necessary after every booking / before the next booking, and the task will usually always have the same characteristics.  In this case, we recommend you create a booking-based scheduled task that will be created automatically for each booking of the selected rental (and will also be automatically canceled or moved in case the booking dates change).
A recurring task that is not linked to a specific booking Verifying the pool water every week, no matter if there are reservations in this rental or not. In this case, we recommend you create a time-based recurring task that will be created automatically for the recurrence period and interval you chose.
A one-off task in a rental that is not linked to a booking. You need to get a lamp fixed in one of your rentals and want maintenance to come by the flat on Tuesday. In this case, you would create a manual task that is not linked to any booking.
