Use attachments in automatic responses and messages

Lodgify's messaging system includes the possibility to attach files to automatic responses and messages sent to guests via the reservation system. In the following, we will show you how it is done.

💡 Note: All normal file types are supported (such as .png, .jpeg, .pdf, .xlsx, .svg, etc.).

Attach files to automatic responses

To attach files to automatic responses that are sent by the reservation system when a specific action is triggered in a booking, you need to follow these steps:
💡 Note: Files added will be sent out every time an automatic response is triggered (it will always be the same file).

  1. Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select Settings.
  2. From the left menu bar, click Automatic Responses or Custom Automatic Responses and select the type of automatic response you want to edit.
  3. Now choose the automatic response and click on the little pencil icon to edit it.

  4. Once you are in the text editor of the message, click on the attachment icon. A pop-up will open up where you can drag-and-drop or upload your files from your computer.
💡 Note: The maximum file size that can be attached is 16MB. In case more than one file is attached, the sum of all file sizes cannot exceed 20MB.

  5. If the file was successfully uploaded, it will show at the bottom of the message. Then Save your changes.
