The Guest App helps you to make your communication with the guest more efficient and less repetitive. To configure the Guest App, you need to set up the General Settings and then create a guide with the necessary information for each rental where you want to use the Guest App.
💡 Note: The Guest App can only be configured on the website, not the mobile app.

Activate the Guest App for a rental
Once you have finished the general setup of the guest module, you need to activate and configure it for each rental individually. Here you can add Wi-Fi codes, door access codes, and further important contact information. To configure these settings, follow these steps:
- Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select PM Modules.
- Click Guest Module from the left menu bar.
- Now go to Rental Settings and either pick a rental or find it using the search bar.
- Once you have selected a rental, click on it and switch the toggle on to enable the guest module for this rental. Then, start configuring information about Wi-Fi and door access codes.
💡 Note: As the door code is sensitive information, you can choose to hide the code and the instructions until the booking has been fully paid (using the booking payment status), or even hide it until the check-in day at the time you choose. -

Create a guidebook
Once you have activated the guest module and have added specific information for a rental, you can create a new personalized Guide, or upload an existing one.
The guides can serve as a welcome booklet with interesting information for your guests such as activities or restaurant recommendations, but they can also serve to provide your guests with all the information about the place that you would give them at check-in. For example, to let them know how the air conditioning works or how to unfold the sofa bed, etc. You can create as many guides in different languages as you want, and can upload pictures and videos to support your descriptions.
To do so, follow these steps:
- Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select PM Modules.
- Click Guest Module from the left menu bar.
- Now go to Guides and either pick a rental or find it using the search bar.
- Once you found the rental you want to add the guide to, click Edit guide and then click on the + icon in the bottom-right corner. You can then choose a language.
-
-
You have two options then, you can create your guide manually on Lodgify, or upload an existing PDF.
Create your guide manually
Click Add to include headers, videos, images, text, links, or HTML.
Hit the Save button in the bottom-right corner once you are done.
💡 Note: You can move the items up or down using the up/down buttons in front of the text box. The order of how you place things here will be how your customers see the guide.
💡 Note: To add another language, simply click again on the + icon and select the language you want to add.
Upload an existing PDF
Click Upload your PDF Guide and select the desired file from your computer.
💡 Note: If you already have a guide for this rental, a pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the replacement of the previous guide by the downloaded one.
Download your guide
Once the guide is set up, you can download it in PDF. Just click Preview on the Guides list, or Download English PDF inside the guide.
As not all channels have the possibility to attach files in the emails you send to your guests, we created a special feature that creates a link related to a specific booking. When you share this link with your guest, they can download the guide in PDF.
💡 Note: This option is only available once you have activated the rental in the Guest module.
To get this link, follow these steps:
- Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select PM Modules.
- Click Bookings from the left menu bar.
- Find the particular booking you want to send the guide to, click Rental Guide URLs, and select the URL for the language you want.
💡 Note: The link will be copied automatically. - Now you can paste the link wherever you need, and it will be valid until the check-out day of the booking.

-
⚠ Important: The restrictions applied in the Rental Settings about only showing information once the booking is fully paid or on the day of check-in, do not apply to the PDF version, however, the door access code is never printed in the PDF for security reasons.
Test how the Guest App looks like
Once you have set up the above, you might want to test how the Guest App actually appears and how your guests will see the information. The picture below gives you an idea of what you can prepare for your guests. You can also check out a demonstration of the app here in our Learning Center.
💡 Note: You can also view a preview of what your guests will see by clicking on Preview at the bottom of the Rental Settings or behind the title of your Guest Guides.
