If you want a rental to be unavailable for bookings during a certain time, you can manually create a closed period on your calendar to block availability. Periods closed manually can always be deleted to open up your calendar for bookings.
💡 Notes:
- You can create a closed period for each room type of the same rental separately or the entire rental. If you have several units of a room type, it is not possible to close only a specific unit of the rental (all units will be closed).
- Closed periods do not work the same way as periods closed by iCals. Learn more about iCals.

Create a closed period
- Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select Calendar.
- In the top right corner, click Create Booking and select Create Closed Period.
- A slide-in window appears to the right side of the screen: Select which rental you want to close, fill in the dates, and leave a comment.
- Click Create Closed Period to finish.
💡 Note: You can also simply click on the calendar on the start date and then click on the end date. If you only want to block 1 night, make sure you only select 1 day (= 1 square) in the calendar.
Example: You only want to block 12th January ➡ click twice on the square of the 12th to select only this one night.
A little window will pop up where you can select to create a closed period for the selected dates.
Closed periods appear in your calendar in black with the comment that you left.

Closed periods imported from Airbnb
Periods that you set in Airbnb as blocked, will be imported as unavailable into Lodgify and will appear in your Lodgify calendar as gray-hatched dates.
To delete such an unavailable period directly in Lodgify, you need to click on one of the gray-hatched dates and then select Delete unavailable period.
