Create a new rental and assign it to your website

If you want to create a new rental without adding it directly to your website you can do so in the Rentals section. Once you are finished and want to publish it on your website you might need to assign it to the correct website in case you have more than one website.

💡 Note: If you have created that rental already in Airbnb you can import it directly into Lodgify without filling in all the information from scratch. Find out how to import a rental from Airbnb.

  3. Select Create a new rental. If this rental exists already in Airbnb, you could select to import the rental data and save time during the setup. Find out how to import a rental from Airbnb.
  4. A new pop-up window will appear where you can give your rental a name and an internal name.
⚠️ As the feature to create new rentals with multiple room types is no longer available, new rentals cannot be created with multiple rooms types anymore. It is only possible to create new room types within an existing rental.
  5. Some required information will be asked like the location, the default price.
  6. You can make your rental listing stand out by adding a description. There are two ways to do this: you can write it yourself, or you can let AI help you.
To use AI, enter a short description of your rental of less than 300 characters (for example "A stylish loft featuring urban views, ideal for work, shopping, and immersing in city living") and click Use AI.
The AI will then generate a description for you. You can give it a thumbs up if you like it or a thumbs down if you don't. If you're not satisfied, you can try again by clicking Regenerate.
You can also edit the description manually if you want.

  7. After that, you'll need to decide if guests can book your rental instantly or if they need to send a booking request. Just choose Instant Booking or Booking Request.

Assign a rental to your website

If you have more than one website, the rental will not get assigned automatically, so you will need to assign it manually to the correct website.

To do so:

  1. Go to your Main Menu in the top left corner and select Rentals.
  2. Choose the rental you want to assign to your website, and click Assign to website.Screenshot 2023-08-17 at 15.34.08.png
  3. Choose to which website or websites you want this rental to be assigned.
  4. Then publish your website, so the changes go live. The new rental should now appear on your live website.

💡 Note: If you already have the maximum amount of rentals associated with your website according to your subscription plan, you will need to Upgrade your subscription first, before you can associate another rental.
