For your website, Airbnb, and Vrbo
If you want to send your Pet Fee to your website, Airbnb, and/or Vrbo, you will need to indicate that pets are accepted in your amenities and create it as a fee. To do so, follow these steps:
- Go to your left-hand menu and select Rentals.
- Then click on the rental you want to edit, and go to Overview.
- Click the pencil next to Amenities and select Pets allowed.
💡 Note: If you're using the Prices & Availability synchronization type for Airbnb, this information must be added directly on Airbnb. - Then, select Pricing.
- Scroll down to the Fees section and click + Add.
- Set the Fee type to Pet Fee and choose a flat amount — either a single charge per stay (Airbnb and Vrbo) or per pet per stay (Airbnb and Website). VAT should be excluded.
For Vrbo, you must use a single charge per stay, as Vrbo does not support the “per pet” or “per guest” options.
💡 Notes:- For pet fees that include VAT, no separate tax is sent. For pet fees that exclude VAT, Vrbo and Airbnb support sending taxes separately.
- For your website, you must charge it as "per pet", "per stay", as otherwise it will be automatically applied to all website bookings. Additionally, you must enable the "guest count breakdown" in your website's display preferences.
- The “Short Stay Restriction” in the pet fee settings is not supported, so make sure to leave the Short Stay Restriction toggle off.
- Save your Pet Fee, then go back to the Pricing page. Click the three dots on the right and select Restrictions.
- You can then choose to apply this fee to Lodgify, Airbnb, and/or Vrbo.
