Lake Integration

Lake.com is a dedicated platform for vacation rentals on or near the water, from lakehouses and mountain cabins to island and coastal getaways. Centered around family, friendship, and authentic outdoor experiences, Lake.com combines tradition with modern technology to help guests reconnect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. With the Lake.com integration, you can sync your properties, manage bookings seamlessly, and offer travelers memorable stays by the water.

💡 Note: Lake is only available for properties located near water, and all rentals must be listed in USD.

Set up the connection between Lodgify and Lake

If you are not a Lake client yet, you can create your account here.

Once your account is created, you can follow these steps to connect:

  1. Click on your name in the top right corner and switch your account to Host.
  2. Go to Connections, or click Import your listings if you just created your account.
  3. Find Lodgify in the list of available PMS connections.
  4. Enter your Lodgify API Key and click Connect.
  5. Your rentals will then be imported from Lodgify into Lake. Please note that bookable units are not supported.
    💡 Note: All listings must be created and imported through Lodgify, as Lake.com does not currently support creating listings directly.

Rental Details

The following rental details will be exported from Lodgify to Lake:

💡 Note: Channel mark-ups are not supported. The rate displayed in Lake will always match the Lodgify rate.

Booking settings/restrictions

Payments

Lake.com is the merchant of record, which means all payments are processed directly through Lake. To receive payouts, you’ll need to connect your Stripe account to Lake. 

Lake charges a 10% commission on the total booking value. There are no additional transaction fees applied to bookings.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation policies are provided by Lake. By default, all listings are set to the Moderate policy, but you can contact Lake to request a different option

All cancellations are managed directly by Lake.com. If a guest wishes to cancel, they can submit the request through Lake.com, and you will be notified by email.

Fees

Pet fee

If the pet fee is set up as a mandatory fee through Lodgify, it will come through the live quote. If this is set up as an add-on through Lodgify, it will need to be arranged outside of the platform, on arrival.
Taxes

Add-ons

Add-ons are not supported. 
Reviews

Reviews are not supported. Instead, listings are rated using a star system, which guests can complete directly on Lake.com.
Mark-up

Mark-ups are not supported.
Rules

❗️

Currently, the only rule imported from Lodgify is whether the property is pet-friendly. This setting is managed under Amenities in Lodgify. If enabled, the unit will display a “Pet Friendly” tag on Lake.

Bookings

The following booking details will be imported to Lodgify.

Information Notes
Bookings Reservations will be exported to Lodgify without a quote. 
The booking source will appear as “Public API,” and the guest’s name will be included.
Requests to book

Guests can submit a booking request. You will be notified by Lake, and you will have a limited time to respond or confirm before the dates are released again:

  • Bookings 1 month or more in advance: 48 hours to respond
  • Bookings 15 days in advance: 24 hours to respond
Bookings modifications All reservations should be managed on Lodgify. 
If the reservation amount needs to be changed due to a booking change, you must contact Lake.com.
Booking status

All reservations will come through as bookings without a quote with the booking status “booked”. 
Since the booking is created without a quote, the automatic email sent to the guest will show the booking price as $0. 
However, on your side, you will still be able to view the full pricing breakdown within the booking’s messaging thread.

💡 Important: You should not add a quote manually, or this will change the booking status to “tentative” and your guest will be sent an email requesting an additional payment.

Lake will send the following reservation details:

    • dates of stay
Inbox All communication with the guest must be done through Lodgify, messages will be delivered to the guest via email.
Reports Bookings will not be included in reporting, as their total booking amount is recorded as $0.
