Expedia Synchronizations

⚠️ Important: We do not support the mapping of existing listings on Expedia. However, if your listings are not yet on Expedia, we can push them there via our Vrbo connection.

The integration with Expedia is a two-way synchronization.
Therefore, you'll be able to keep your calendar up to date by importing Expedia reservations and synchronizing availability, as well as to export your prices.

🔎 If you are searching specific information, do not hesitate to do a Control F (Command F for Apple) to search your keyword and get your information easily.

Please note that the synchronization applies to all the elements listed below. You cannot choose to sync some and exclude others.

Rental content (such as title, description, amenities, images) is not synchronized.

Export Prices

Policies (reservation deposit, security deposit, and cancellation policies) Need to be set up in Expedia and managed outside Lodgify.
Nightly price and season rates ✔️

Nightly price and season rates will be exported to Expedia.

Moreover, the currency settings in Lodgify and Expedia need to be the same.

💡 Note: Fees and taxes are not sent from Lodgify to Expedia and need to be managed in your Expedia account.

Daily, weekly price ✔️ Different price per day is also supported.
Monthly price Monthly prices cannot be mapped.
Extra charge per guest - Nightly price and season rates ✔️ Needs to be set up in Lodgify. 
Prices for up to 20 guests will be exported. If the maximum occupancy is higher, guests will not be able to book for more than 20 people on Expedia.
💡 Note: Extra charge per guest will apply to both adults and children (under 18 years old).
Minimum stay - Nightly price and season rates ✔️ Need to be set up in Lodgify.
Cleaning fee, misc. charges, and taxes Fees and taxes are not sent to Expedia (cleaning fees, misc charge, taxes). You must configure them in Expedia as included in the Rate plan and adjust your Lodgify pricing accordingly.
Promotions Need to be set up manually in Expedia.
Fixed check-in and check-out days ✔️ Need to be set up in Lodgify.
Advance Notice It does not exist in Expedia.
Rental Agreement Needs to be set up manually in Expedia.

Export availability

  Export Notes
Current availability ✔️ 18 months of availability will be synchronized.
💡 Note: The preparation time set in Lodgify will be synchronized with Expedia's availability calendar and will mark preparation days as 'unavailable' for bookings.
Rental types and units ✔️ We export multi-units.
Closed periods ✔️ Closed periods need to be created in Lodgify as they won't be imported from Expedia.

 

Import reservations

Existing reservations Need to be created manually in Lodgify.
Future reservations ✔️ Reservations made in the past are not imported.

Reservation details

(creation date, stay dates, rental name, and facilities, price details, number of guests)

To see reservation details, go to the booking box and to External Link and click the link View details.

💡 Note: No reservation details will be sent from Lodgify to Expedia.

Credit card details ✔️

Credit card details can only be imported if you accept credit card payments in Lodgify. The credit card details imported are a Virtual Credit Card (VCC).

The credit card information is still available in Expedia’s back office after such information is sent to Lodgify.

Guest details ✔️ The name and location will be imported. The language is always set to English.
Changes in reservations (cancellations, date changes, etc.) ✔️ Any changes made in Expedia will be shown in the reservation details in Lodgify.
Existing and new messages

For reservations imported automatically through our API, the guest’s alias email (@m.expediapartnercentral.com) or the email address associated with the booking will be imported into Lodgify.

  • The reservation is imported with the guest's alias email

If the reservation is imported with the guest's alias email, messages sent from Lodgify will be displayed in the Expedia Partner central message system.
If a guest sends a message or replies through the Expedia Partner Central message system, their response will not be displayed in Lodgify.
 

  • The reservation is imported with the guest's email

If the reservation is imported with the guest's email, messages sent from Lodgify will be displayed in the guest's inbox but not in the Expedia Partner Central message system.
Messages and replies sent from the guest’s inbox will be displayed in Lodgify, but not in the Expedia partner Central message system.

💡 Note: Messages exchanged before the import of the reservation into Lodgify will not be visible in Lodgify.

Payments ✔️ Payments for imported reservations can be handled in Lodgify if you accept credit card payments in Lodgify and Expedia.
